The proteome analysis is recently of growing importance in the post genomic era. As a key technology, mass spectrometry is commonly utilized and the scientific challenge for proteome analysis has been focused on the microanalysis and quantification. Recently, there's been an increase of research into the construction of an appropriate database in the world. The analysis of the proteome promises a revolution in the fields of drug discovery, diagnosis and therapeutics. However, there are many significant barriers to overcome, among which the construction and the practical application of an appropriate database are the most demanding. We are trying to apply the provisional proteome analysis for diagnosis, drug discovery and healthcare in parallel with research on the data acquisition for the construction of database. The development of these researches will contribute to proteome-based drug discovery, diagnosis and therapeutics.
