We study thermogenesis at the cellular scale.

This is relatively a new team, starting from April 2023. We develop methods of local thermal excitation and thermometry using an optical microscope, and apply the methods to experimental systems at various spatial-scales in biology.

Methods of local thermal excitation and thermometry using optical microscopes

With an enthusiasm of investigating thermogenesis at the cellular scale, we develop methods of local thermal excitation that simulate cellular thermogenesis and of thermometry using an optical microscope.

We apply these methods to experimental systems at various spatial-scales in biology, i.e., from biomolecules to organisms.

Both Curiosity-Driven
And Disease-Related Projects

We are working on curiosity-driven projects in life sciences as well as disease-related ones with domestic and international collaborators.
