STUDENTSIPR Osaka University
Faculty members of Institute for Protein Research teach in Graduate School of Science (Department of Chemistry, Department of Biological Sciences and Department of Macromolecular Science), Graduate School of Medicine , Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences and Graduate School of Engineering. Therefore in the case that you select a professor who belongs to IPR and teach in your department as your supervisor, then you can do your education and research activities as a member of Institute for Protein Research.
01
We aim to develop a wide range of personnel with the ability to elucidate the biological function at the atomistic and molecular level. That is also our institute’s aim of foundation.
02
We endeavor to develop the hopeful and deserving personnel who can evolve the related fields in the future, such as Protein Chemistry and Protein Structural Biology of analyzing the protein structure and function, Molecular Biology, Development Biology and Neuroscience of researching various biological function.
03
Through collaboration with Graduate School of Science, Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences, Graduate School of Medicine and Graduate School of Engineering, we participate in the fulfilling curriculum which many faculties who engage in protein research are involved in, that enable us to create a variety of educational and research framework.
04
Protein Research is a cross-disciplinary research field which transcends the borders among the existing research fields such as chemistry, physics, biology and medical science. We endevour to develop the personnel who can break down silos among laboratories and will be active interdisciplinary in the future.
The schedule for Graduate Admission is as below. Please visit the website for the details. We welcome you to visit each laboratories in Institute of Protein Research at any time so please feel free to contact the laboratory which you wish to join in, if the schedule of visiting laboratory does not work for you. If you have any inquiry, please contact each laboratory directly.
